The bond market has few buddies today.
Given bonds’ stubbornly low yields, analysts and advisors have urged traders to rethink the normal 60/40 mix of shares and bonds in a portfolio. The “bond king” himself, Invoice Gross, has known as bonds “garbage.” Jim Grant, a Barron’s alumnus and writer of Grant’s Curiosity Price Observer, has stated that bonds provide “return-free risk.”
