Off-duty San Diego sheriff’s deputy arrested for DUI after breaching safety gate at Naval Base Coronado


A San Diego Sheriff’s deputy was arrested Friday evening after allegedly making an attempt to drive onto a naval base in Coronado with out clearance, the division confirmed in a launch Saturday. 

Sergeant Michael Cruz was arrested on a cost of DUI and booked into the San Diego Central Jail, based on the sheriff’s division who mentioned the 17-year veteran was off-duty on the time.
