(MS),
Wells Fargo
(WFC), McDonald’s (MCD), Rio Tinto (RIO), and Shell (SHEL), the NYSE mentioned in a press release posted on its website.
By shortly after 10 a.m., buying and selling had resumed in all of these names. At 10:21 a.m., the NYSE’s market standing web page on its web site issued an replace saying: “The exchange is investigating reported issues with the opening auction. All NYSE systems are currently operational.”
The NYSE referred Barron’s to its 10:21 a.m. replace when requested for remark.
