‘The Boys’ Superhero Faculty Spinoff Ordered to Collection at Amazon With New Showrunners

Amazon has given the inexperienced mild to its spinoff of “The Boys” that’s set at a superhero school, formally ordering the mission to collection. 

Together with the pickup, “Agent Carter” alums Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters will come aboard as showrunners, with “The Boys” author Craig Rosenberg, who had been shepherding the collection, leaving over inventive variations. 

Set at America’s solely school completely for younger grownup superheroes (and run by Vought Worldwide), the untitled spinoff is described as “an irreverent, R-rated collection that explores the lives of hormonal, aggressive Supes as they put their bodily, sexual and ethical boundaries to the check, competing for the very best contracts in the very best cities. Half school present, half ‘Hunger Games’ — with all the guts, satire and raunch of ‘The Boys.’”

Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, Reina Hardesty, and Maddie Phillips will portray young superheroes, with additional cast to be announced.

The spinoff series will be produced by “The Boys” studio Sony Pictures Television Studios and Amazon Studios, in association with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises and Original Film. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr will serve as executive producers. Serving as co-executive producers for the series are Zak Schwartz and Erica Rosbe.
