Disney World drops masks mandate for visitors at Florida resort

Walt Disney World will now not require face masks at its Florida properties — the newest in a string of firms to drop their masks mandates this week.

Masks are nonetheless “recommended” for visitors who aren’t totally vaccinated in indoor areas together with on transportation and inside theaters, Disney World said on its website Tuesday.

“Please note, face coverings are not permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water,” the message added.

The sprawling theme parks made masks optionally available for guests who’ve been vaccinated in opposition to the coronavirus, though masks had been nonetheless required on transportation like an on-site monorail and bus system.

Main airways together with American Airways, Delta Air Traces and Southwest Airways have since announced that masks would be “optional” on home flights and a few worldwide flights.

Uber and Lyft announced Tuesday that masks will now be optionally available for drivers and riders utilizing their service.
