To punish their eight-year-old son for watching an excessive amount of tv, the tough-love couple compelled the child to look at tv all night time, South China Morning Post reported.  

According to the outlet, the eight-year-old boy, from Hunan Province in central China, was left at house whereas his dad and mom went out, and was requested to complete his homework and go to mattress by 8.30 pm. But once they returned, they discovered their son watching TV, and hadn’t completed his homework. The boy went to mattress as soon as his dad and mom got here house. 

Infuriated at the truth that he did not take heed to them, the boy’s mom dragged him again to the lounge and turned on the TV, and compelled him to look at all of it night time. The couple even took turns to maintain a watch on the kid so they might drive him to remain awake. Initially, the kid was unbothered and ate snacks, however he quickly began getting drained and was unable to sit down and watch. He struggled to remain awake and even cried and pleaded together with his mom to be allowed to sleep, however to no avail. 

A CCTV footage of the incident which went viral on social media web sites in China exhibits the boy falling asleep on the sofa, solely to be nudged awake by his mom or father and compelled to look at extra tv. He was not allowed to sleep till 5 am, the report stated.  

Meanwhile, the incident has triggered a fierce debate over parenting, and social media customers have termed the punishment as ”too harsh”.  

 “I had a similar experience. After taking our three-year-old son, who is a fan of KFC, to eat hamburgers and chicken for three days, now his enthusiasm is gone,” a social media person was quoted as saying by the South China Morning Post. 

The mom, nonetheless, stated robust parenting had a constructive impact on her son.
